We would like to thank our February keiki cover model Mystic-Ann Ka ha o’kalani Matahina Kadience Shinako Ah Puck and her ‘ohana for sharing her beautiful smile with us this month.

Mom is Sherri Ah Puck of Aston Maui Banyan Guest Services, and dad is Frankie Ah Puck, a driver with The Limo Company.

The family lives in Kihei, and Mystic-Ann attends kindergarten at Kihei Elementary School where she loves going to school!

Mystic-Ann has been dancing hula for a little over a year with Halau Kekuao‘kala‘au‘iliahi.

Dad shares, “Mystic asked us to have her training wheels removed, it took her less than two hours to learn to ride the bike. That was one of my greatest moments with her!”

Mom shares, “Mystic is very friendly and full of Aloha. She’s always saying hi to everyone, and she reminds me that every day is a good day and to be happy!”

2017 maui plein air painting invitational february 18-26

Beginning Saturday, February 18, the 2017 Maui Plein Air Painting Invitational will bring together top plein air artists from Hawai‘i and the mainland to capture Maui’s Upcountry vistas, pristine beaches, majestic mountains, and historic towns.

The event runs from Saturday, February 18, until Sunday, February 26. During the week-long event, the public will have three opportunities to observe 26 artists at work, from blank canvas to finished landscape or portrait in four hours or less. Included in the week are seven opportunities to view and purchase art.
