We want to say Aloha and Mahalo to sister and brother Peyton Maria and Perfecto Franco Jr., our keiki models for this May issue.

Mom is Justine Maldonado-Morgan, reservation agent at Fairmont Kea Lani Resort & Spa, and the family lives in Kahului.

Peyton is seven years old, and attends Pomaika‘i school in the second grade, where she enjoys the arts and swimming after school.

Perfecto is nine years old, and attends school at Pomaika‘i in the third grade. He also loves art and going to the beach and pool on weekends.

Mom shares, “My kids are my world. They fill my life with joy, and are the main reason I work as hard as I do. They inspire me to succeed in work and in life.”

seabury hall 45th annual craft fair offers family fun for mother’s day weekend

Maui is known for its scenic beauty, but when springtime arrives, Upcountry offers the best place to experience its splendor. Jacaranda trees burst into vibrant purple bloom along many of the roads, providing the perfect venue for a time-honored event that celebrates Mom and all-things beautiful – the 45th annual Seabury Hall Craft Fair.

This acclaimed Upcountry event takes place the day before Mother’s Day on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 9am – 4pm at the Seabury Hall campus, just one mile above Makawao. The fair features the work of some of Hawai‘i’s finest artisans and crafters – over 100 this year – including woodworkers, jewelers, ceramists, weavers and more. The 37th Annual Kapalua Wine & Food Festival returns June 7-10, 2018 for a magical weekend on the shores of the Kapalua Resort.
