Grandmother is Celia Cabal Arcilla, who has worked at Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa as an operator for the past six years, and Aunt Joanne Arcilla works in the front office at the same resort.

Mom is Aysha Ramsey, a musician, and dad is Jason Arcilla, musician and FedEx courier.

Oshynn is turning ten years old next month, and is currently in fifth grade at Lihikai Elementary School. She enjoys playing soccer with HYSA, and loves drawing, listening to music, and visiting art shows and galleries with her dad.

Celia shares, “Oshynn is the kindest; she is very gentle with her words and deeds with everyone—beautiful in and out. We are so proud of her!”

BLOG_PGrill_13I’m not a golfer, but I love golf clubhouse restaurants. I don’t know what it is that makes me fancy them so much. Maybe it’s the opportunity to immerse myself in a subculture with a language all its own (birdies, bogeys, and bunkers, anyone?). Or perhaps it’s that clubhouse restaurants are usually so gosh darned scenic. Whatever it is, one of my all-time favorite clubhouse restaurants is Pineapple Grill at Kapalua Resort, which overlooks the Bay Course and Tennis Garden, as well as the sparkling turquoise waters of the Pacific Ocean.

In early June Troon, the world’s largest golf and hospitality management company, assumed management and operations of Pineapple Grill, formerly owned by Cohn Restaurant Group. Troon’s food and beverage division manages a huge number of restaurants located at golf resorts, private clubs, daily fee golf courses, and recreational facilities around the world. On Maui, Troon Golf also manages the Kapalua Plantation and Bay Courses, as well as the King Kamehameha Golf Club in Waikapu. montage kapalua bay launches sunset grill night at hana hou bar

BLOG_MONTAGE_Photo Aug 11, 6 55 53 PMTo help guests and locals get into the “Aloha Friday” spirit, Montage Kapalua Bay is launching a weekly Sunset Grill Night. Beginning August 19, from 5pm to sunset, guests and locals can visit Hana Hou Bar at the Lower Pool Deck to unwind with specialty cocktails and signature barbeque items, while taking in the picture-perfect sunset.

Montage Kapalua Bay’s Executive Chef David Viviano will showcase signature dishes including Grilled Local Ahi Sandwich with Asian slaw, Surf & Turf Cobb Salad with petite filet mignon and jumbo prawns, and mixed plates such as Huli Huli Chicken with sticky rice. To round out the grill experience, the resort created specialty cocktails and drinks including the “Frangilada,” served in a hollowed pineapple, “Lime In Da Coconut,” presented in a coconut shell, and the “Maui Root Beer Float,” made with Maui Brewing Company root beer. outdoor market to debut at outlets of maui

BLOG_Outdoor Market Outlets of MauiOutlets of Maui is pleased to announce the opening of the new Outlets Outdoor Market on Wednesday, August 31, from 4pm to 7:30pm. This new weekly event will celebrate Maui farmers and artisans, featuring locally-grown produce, hand-made goods, creative crafts, apparel, island artwork, and much more.

Outlets Outdoor Market will also feature chef demonstrations, live music, hula shows, and cultural activities such as poi making, coconut juice making, lei making, and wood carving alongside our local merchants.
