We want to say Mahalo to our keiki cover model this month, Kailea Larsen.

Kailea’s mom is Povi Larsen, concierge at Sheraton Maui Resort, and dad is David Larsen. The family lives in Napili. Kailea is seven years old, and is in first grade at Maui Prep. Her favorite subject at school is science.

Kailea also enjoys gymnastics, karate, playing basketball, and swimming.

Mom shares, “I love my daughter for her kind heart and beautiful smile. She loves animals, and wants to learn how to make the earth a better place. She inspires me to bring love, joy, and appreciation to the world around us.”

Our keiki model for this month’s cover is seven-year-old Katelyn Hailey Galo Pagdilao. Her Auntie Jocelyn Pagdilao has worked at Ka‘anapali Beach Club as a tour coordinator for the past ten years; Katelyn’s mom and dad are Janet and Eric Pagdilao. The family lives in Kahului, and Katelyn attends Lihikai School where she loves writing and drawing.

Auntie Jocelyn shared, “Katelynn is just like her favorite Uncle Ronald. She knows how to turn your bad days into good ones with a smile.”

Katelyn’s family would like to dedicate this photo of their sweet girl to her Uncle Ronald who recently passed away.

Our keiki cover model this month is Jadelyn Taylor Leano Dagupion.

Jade’s mom is Lisa Leano, front desk agent at Ka‘anapali Beach Hotel, and dad is Patrick Dagupion, server at Japengo at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort.

The family lives in Napili, and Jade will be entering kindergarten next year. She loves dancing hula and Tahitian, and has been dancing with Kumu Keoni with Halau ‘Aumakua productions. Jadelyn was voted Miss Keiki Aloha in 2013 when she was just one!

Jade’s dad shared, “Jade is our little firecracker and knows just what she wants!”

Mom said, “Jade loves to play with makeup and loves to shop with me at Sephora and Target. In her downtime you will find her playing on the ipad.”

keiki-cover_03-2017_img_9996We want to say Mahalo to our cute keiki cover boy, three-year-old Landon Halelu Kuloloio and his whole ‘ohana for sharing his smile with us this month.

Great-grandma Joyce Tihada entered Landon for our cover, and she has been working at Sheraton Maui Resort in the PBX department for 50 years!

Landon’s Mom is Joyce’s granddaughter Precious Naleieha, who works at Kahului Elementary School.

Mom shared, “Landon loves big trucks, getting dirty and playing in the ocean. He is always full of energy, he keeps himself and other entertained! He loves to sing, dance and is a sweetheart who can change your bad mood with his smile.”

02-2017_keiki-cover_img_8906We would like to thank our February keiki cover model Mystic-Ann Ka ha o’kalani Matahina Kadience Shinako Ah Puck and her ‘ohana for sharing her beautiful smile with us this month.

Mom is Sherri Ah Puck of Aston Maui Banyan Guest Services, and dad is Frankie Ah Puck, a driver with The Limo Company.

The family lives in Kihei, and Mystic-Ann attends kindergarten at Kihei Elementary School where she loves going to school!

Mystic-Ann has been dancing hula for a little over a year with Halau Kekuao‘kala‘au‘iliahi.

Dad shares, “Mystic asked us to have her training wheels removed, it took her less than two hours to learn to ride the bike. That was one of my greatest moments with her!”

Mom shares, “Mystic is very friendly and full of Aloha. She’s always saying hi to everyone, and she reminds me that every day is a good day and to be happy!”

keiki-cover-1-17Aloha and Happy New Year to Kingston Keola Nahinu-Chun and his ‘ohana! Thank you for sharing your keiki with us for this month’s cover!

Kingston is our handsome boy on the cover of this issue. He is five years old, and attends Punano Leo O Maui preschool in Lahaina.

Kingston’s nana is Wanette Kawahara, who has worked as a Regency Club Concierge for the past 24 years at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa in Ka‘anapali.

Kingston enjoys everything outdoors. His favorite activities are going to the beach and playing in the ocean, and he is a very active five year old.

Wanette shared, “I love Kingston’s infectious smile, it brightens up my day every time I see him!”

Grandma is Lisalani Baybayan, a Regency Club concierge at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa for the past 32 years! Mom is Brittney Baybayan, and dad is Kea Williams.

The family lives in Lahaina, and Ho‘okele loves to play baseball, ride his dirt bike, go to the beach, and help his dad work on trucks and cars.

Mom shares, “Each night before bed we read a book or two together, then my son can dream the adventures that wait for him! It is our favorite time to snuggle up and read. One of our favorite quotes by Dr. Seuss is, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more you learn, the more places you’ll go!”
