Mom is Joyce Paa, concierge at Grand Wailea Resort & Spa, and dad is Enrique Paa Jr, who works TSA at Kahului airport.

Cailyn is six years old, and is in kindergarten at Pomaikai Elementary School. She really loves reading, and enjoys hula and taekwondo for after- school activities.

Landen is eight years old, and is in third grade at Pomaikai Elementary in Kahului. He enjoys math. and also studies taekwondo.

Mom shares, “Cailyn says she wants to be a concierge when she grows up! She loves to draw and dance hula. Landen loves writing and really enjoys singing.”

Hailing from Southern California, this entrepreneurial pair has been in the restaurant business for three decades. Shortly after landing on Maui in 1985, they opened Avalon Restaurant & Bar in Lahaina, and Mark, along with 11 other local chefs of note, formed the Hawai‘i Regional Cuisine movement, characterized by the utilization of fresh, local ingredients to create fusion-style dishes inspired by cuisines and cooking techniques from around the world.
