Aloha to this month’s keiki cover family! We want to introduce you to the Galarita ‘Ohana… Natali (13), Jordin (11), Ikaika (9) and Sunny (3).

Mom is Leigh Galarita who works in the Bell department at The Ritz Carlton Club and Residences, Kapalua Bay and Dad is Johnathan Galarita who works at the Kapalua Plantation Golf Course in Guest Services.

Natali plays soccer and volleyball and loves drama and music. Jordin dances hula for Napili Kai Foundation, plays soccer, swims and loves stand up paddling. Ikaika plays soccer, basketball, golf, wrestling and swimming and Sunny dances hula with Na Pua O Kapi‘olani Hula Studio and loves to perform like her sister!

Mom shares, “My keiki all give different inspirations. They all remind me that children want to have fun on their vacations too! I love playing with the kids at work, I am able to send them to all of the places that my keiki enjoy here on Maui. My four kids definitely keep me on my toes, which helps me at work! They help me to work harder and try to give the whole family an awesome vacation here.”

The Rising, Young Star of Star Noodle & Leoda’s Kitchen and Pie Shop

Chef Sheldon Simeon is a very busy man. Not only is he executive chef at the wildly popular Star Noodle in Lahaina, but now he also oversees the kitchen at the newly opened Leoda’s Kitchen and Pie Shop in Olowalu (look for a feature story on Leoda’s in an upcoming issue of The Maui Concierge).
