13th annual maui film festival: june 13-17, 2012 at wailea resort and the macc

The Maui Film Festival will once again be a celebration of compassionate cinematic vision and storytelling, as it showcases nearly 50 of the best major and mini-major studio and independents and World Cinema feature releases, alongside 25 of the best short films of the summer. Daily screenings of acclaimed films take place at the MACC in two theaters, and on the big screen in Wailea. During the festival, enjoy celebrity tributes, filmmaker panels, and special events around Wailea. This year’s festival honorees include writer/director/actor Josh Radnor, who will be presented with the Triple Threat Award; and actress Elizabeth Banks, who will be presented with the Navigator Award. Other honorees will be announced between now and the start of the festival.

2012 FESTIVAL PASSES

RISING STAR PASS
$40 through June 12, 2012 (price will increase)
4 Admissions to Films at the Castle Theater. A transferable, multi-user pass.

CELESTIAL PASS
$80 through June 12, 2012
4 Admissions to Celestial Cinema for any or all films. A transferable, multi-user pass.

SHOOTING STAR PASS
$175 through June 12, 2012 (price will increase)
Shooting Star passes are non-transferable and must be used by one party.
All films and tributes at all venues, all filmmakers panels, priority entry at Celestial Cinema and Castle Theater.

STARDUST PASS
$260 through June 12, 2012 (price will increase)
Stardust passes are non-transferable.
All the benefits of Shooting Star Pass PLUS Taste of Wailea at the David Leadbetter Gold Academy, Wailea Gold & Emerald Golf Course (this event limited to guests 21 years  and over).

COMET PASS

Live cooking stations feature regional Italian cuisine with fresh local ingredients. Feel the romance while enjoying the spectacular sunset view before heading off to the movies. Maui Film Festival’s over-the-top event for lovers of chocolate! Eat it, drink it, love it. Dress up and experience the never-been-there, never-had-that, extraordinary flavors and sensual experience that is the Taste of Chocolate. If you’ve been there, you know what we mean. If you haven’t, come experience what you’ve been missing. Each Taste of Chocolate ticket includes Friday Night’s Celestial Cinema Double Feature. $125 per person until June 12; $150 after that.

Don’t miss the crown jewel of Maui Film Festival’s Culinary Arts Celebrations at the David Leadbetter Private Golf Academy on the beautiful Wailea Gold & Emerald Golf Course. The most mouth-watering moments of our 13th annual Taste of Wailea will be presented by Wailea Resorts’ most celebrated chefs and restaurants, complemented by a delicate assortment of fine wines provided by Southern Wine & Spirits, refreshing Stella Artois, Hoegaarden, and Leffe Blonde beers on draft, and exotic Maui-tinis from Maui’s own Organic Ocean Vodka. You must be 21 or over to attend; IDs will be checked. Each Taste of Wailea ticket includes Saturday Night’s Celestial Cinema Double Feature. $120 per person until June 12; $140 after that.
