10th Annual E Ho‘oulu Aloha – To Grow in Love

This 10th annual fundraiser celebrates Hawaiian arts, culture, food and entertainment on the grounds of the Bailey House Museum and the historic Yokouchi Estate in Wailuku.

2010 Na Hoku Hanohano Award winner of Hawaiian Album of the Year and Favorite Entertainer of the Year, Uluwehi Guerrero volunteers his talent and organizes the stage performances every year. The concert includes well-known local entertainers Richard Ho‘opi‘i and Lei‘ohu Ryder, who will be performing from 9am-3pm. The program will also include Halau Hula Kauluokala and Na Leo Lani O Maui community choir, directed by Gale Wisehart. The concert will be emceed by Braddah Poki from Pacific Radio Group. This year features food and crafts vendors, as well as adding Hawaiian arts demonstrations and a keiki activity area.

Come watch the lei ladies make fresh flower leis for sale and master lauhala weavers practice their craft, as well as demonstrations of Hawaiian quilting, kapa making and poi pounding.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 on the day of the event, which includes admission to the Bailey House Museum on concert day. Children under 12 years old are FREE with a paid adult.

The Maui Historical Society was founded in 1951 and owns and operates the Bailey House Museum, a mission home built in 1833 on the royal compound of Kahekili, last chief of Maui, at the mouth of Iao Valley.
